Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Ubizie collects, why we use it, and the choices you have.

Last updated August 2, 2026

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the Ubizie mobile application, ubizie.com, and related support services (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described here.

2. Information you provide

We may collect information you choose to provide, including your name, email address, optional phone number, username, profile details, profile and cover photos, plans and invitations, messages, comments, reactions, photos, videos, reports, and support requests.

3. Information collected with your permission

Contacts

If you choose contact discovery, phone numbers from your device contacts are normalized and cryptographically hashed on your device before matching. Raw device contact numbers and contact names are not uploaded for matching. Contact names may remain on your device to help you recognize or invite someone.

Location

If you allow location access, we may use approximate or precise location to show relevant nearby plans and places. You can change location permissions through your device and in-app settings.

Calendars

If calendar connections are available and you choose to connect one, calendar information may be used to support the features you request. Calendar access does not by itself make your calendar public. You can disconnect a calendar or change its permissions.

4. Information collected automatically

We collect limited technical information needed to operate and secure the Services, such as device identifiers, push-notification tokens, app version, operating system, diagnostic data, and security logs. On the Ubizie website, we use a random first-party identifier to understand which landing page, referring domain, or campaign led to an account. We do not store the full referring URL, IP address, device fingerprint, search text, message, comment, contact, or photo content for this attribution. If you opt in to product analytics, we may also collect feature events such as a plan being viewed or created.

5. How we use information

  • Provide, personalize, and improve Ubizie.
  • Show plans and people consistent with your choices and permissions.
  • Deliver messages, invitations, notifications, and support.
  • Protect users, enforce our rules, investigate misuse, and maintain security.
  • Comply with legal obligations and establish or defend legal claims.

6. How information is shared

We share content with other users according to the audience and privacy choices associated with that content. We also use service providers that help us run Ubizie, including cloud database, authentication, storage, real-time messaging, app delivery, and push-notification services. Those providers may process information only to provide services to us or as permitted by law.

We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, during a corporate transaction, or with your direction or consent. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Services. When you delete your account, we begin deleting or de-identifying account data, subject to limited retention for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and backup integrity. Some content may remain where another user has an independent copy or where retention is legally required.

8. Your choices

You can update profile and privacy settings, control notifications and device permissions, disconnect optional integrations, block users, report content, and delete your account in the app. You may also contact us to ask about access, correction, or deletion rights that apply where you live.

9. Children

Ubizie is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information in violation of this policy, contact us.

10. Security and international processing

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. No system is completely secure. Information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate, subject to applicable protections.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Ubizie changes. We will post the updated version here and change the “Last updated” date. We will provide additional notice when required.

12. Contact
